TELMO ANUM - The Black Bird from Pernambuco

Love and passion for the waves brought Brazilian artist Telmo Anum to Australia in the mid 90´s. Born and raised in Olinda, Pernambuco in North Eastern Brazil, Anum represents a rich, musical universe, yet to be discovered by the world. Now he is back in Brazil to complete a new album with Swedish producer Erici.
The Mar Beijando Areia video is recorded with Telmo Anum and his New Beat band in Olinda, the beaches of Bairro Novo, Praia do Carmo and Maracaipe, Pernambuco, Brazil in January 2012. Maracaipe beach still offers natural beauty meanwhile other beaches shown are more or less destroyed and polluted by humanity. Producer and director: Harald Erici, Erici Music. New Beat are Pingo - guitar, Victor - accordion, Barba - bass, Cabelo, Paulinho and Emerson - percussion and Peu - drums.

Telmo Anum is a true performer which is best experienced by his energic live shows, solo or with a big band. He is also a fine Capoeira master. His father, Galo Preto, is a well known repentista from Pernambuco and Anum brings the rich music tradtition of the region further. Telmo Anums solo debut "A Cor de Segredo", was released in 2006.
