Love and passion for the waves brought Brazilian artist Telmo Anum to Australia in the mid 90´s. Born and raised in Olinda, Pernambuco in North Eastern Brazil, Anum represents a rich, musical universe, yet to be discovered by the world. While he performs in a Melbourne restaraunt, Swedish songwriter and producer Erici passes by. Erici had just launched Brasilicum, a concept on Brazilian Popular Music, and steps in for a listen. A few weeks later they meet in Gold Coast, to try out some recordings. They end up with songs for an entire album.

Telmo Anum is a true performer which is best experienced by his energic live shows, solo or with a big band. He is also a fine Capoeira master. Anums father, Galo Preto, is a well known folk artist from Pernambuco, Brazil and Anum brings the regions rich music tradtition further.
